The Philadelphia Union is a Philadelphia-based professional soccer team. They represent America. The Eastern Conference is where The Union play in Major League Soccer (MLS). The club, which was established on February 28, 2008, started competing in 2010 as an expansion team. Subaru Park, a soccer-specific stadium situated in Chester, Pennsylvania on the banks of the Delaware River, serves as the team’s home field.

Currently, Keystone Sports and Entertainment owns The Union, with Jay Sugarman serving as the club’s chairman and majority owner. Kevin Durant, a working-class owner, is a professional basketball player. Jim Curtin is the club’s current head coach. Since 2014, Curtin has been the Union’s head coach. In the 2014, 2015, and 2018 the Union placed second and in the 2022 MLS Cup championship as well as Open Cup competitions.

Philadelphia won the Supporters’ Shield in 2020, becoming the first team in club history to do so.
